Britney Spears is planning a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas.

According to reports, the singer will celebrate the start of 2007 by hosting a lavish bash at the Pure nightclub, which is located inside Caesars Palace hotel and casino.

Las Vegas has been the location for many of Britney's infamous moments.

It was in Sin City that the 'Toxic' singer married childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander, a union that lasted just 55 hours.

She also famously performed a live TV special from the MGM Grand hotel.

The pop superstar has also been flaunting her newly acquired single status with new best friend Paris Hilton in Las Vegas, with the pair being seen partying on several occasions over the last few weeks.

Britney, 24, filed for divorce from estranged husband Kevin Federline earlier this month citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Meanwhile, Alexander has admitted he wasn't surprised that Britney's marriage to Kevin imploded.

He said:

It has always been a matter of time. Their relationship had been going downhill for a while but nothing changed or got better. They had problems which they tried to sort out but obviously they couldn't sort them out.

Sienna Miller isn't going to let Jude Law get away from her this time - and she's got the handcuffs to make sure! The actress has purchased an array of erotic accoutrements for her upcoming vacation to Kenya with Law, reports British newspaper, the Sun.

Miller spent close to $550 on a set of leather handcuffs and a body harness at London's Coco de Mer. A source told the Sun:

Instructions for the body harness say that it should be used "with cuffs, rope or silk ties to bind your lover" and that it "looks beautiful with or without bra."

Newlyweds Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have recently purchased a British mansion to add to their collection of homes.

The couple have paid $4.75 million for a six bedroom home just outside of London in Dormans Park, an exclusive community established in 1887 in Sussex, England.

According to American publication Us Weekly, the estate, known as Rede Place, boasts an indoor swimming pool, an underground garage, a sports pavilion, a game room and a greenhouse. The property is also equipped with a high-tech security system and a staff cottage.

The couple also owns homes in Telluride, Colorado and Beverly Hills, California. Sources say the purchase may have been something to do with Cruise's devotion to his religion - the couple's home is just down the road from the Church Of Scientology's newly opened UK headquarters in East Grinstead.

Jordan has blasted Madonna for using her celebrity status and wealth to adopt.

The glamour model - who has two sons, Harvey, four, from her relationship with Dwight Yorke, and 17-month-old Junior with husband Pete Andre - says she is planning on adopting herself but would not expect special treatment like Madonna.

The 'Hung Up' singer was granted temporary custody of 13-month-old Malawi baby David.

Jordan - real name Katie Price - said:

I'd probably want a baby, so I could know them from the very beginning. But I don't know about adopting abroad yet as it's not something I've really looked into. I don't think it's right that just because you're a celebrity and have money you should be able to adopt a baby that easily, particularly when you have people who can't even have kids, who can't adopt or are put on a long waiting list. Everyone should be treated equally.

Jordan also claims Madonna's decision has trivialised the whole adoption process and made it fashionable instead of commendable.

She added:

Pete and I are definitely going to adopt, but not yet. We'll have more of our own first. And at the moment I think it's becoming a fashion, which I don't like. I respect people adopting, but I don't like that it's becoming fashionable.
